The Vineyard

We are committed to attention to detail in every phase of the winemaking process. From vineyard to bottle, our goal is to create estate wines filled with passion for and expression of this unique place. We like to think of it as bottling a bit of the Central Coast.

Stolo Family Vineyards is located just 3 miles inland from the quaint seaside town of Cambria, CA, a sleepy seaside escape. The location, chosen for its optimal cool climate growing conditions, is a stunning reminder of the natural beauty offered by the Central Coast. Cool foggy mornings give way to moderate, sunny afternoons allowing for a long and even growing season. With longer time on the vines, the grapes become more expressive of “place”, exuding flavors that mirror the ocean breeze and clay loam soil.

Stolo Family Vineyard’s original 9 acre vineyard was planted in 1998 to Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Syrah. An additional vineyard was started on the same property in 2008 and planted to Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, and Gewurztraminer. These selected varietals are known to create world-class wines when grown in cool climate areas such as ours.
